What can I expect during an initial free discovery call?
A (up to) 15-minute phone call which is an opportunity for us to speak briefly about your goals for therapy and for you to ask questions that may help you determine if I am a good fit for your care. All discovery conversations are conducted by telephone at a booked time convenient for you. This is also an opportunity to submit insurance verification and check for insurance eligibility. Lastly, this is also where I inform you of my practice procedures (ie no show, late cancellation policy, fees, co pays, etc) and if we are a good match (and you are ready) then we proceed to scheduling your initial assessment session (1st appointment). This discovery call is often short and sweet.
What do you specialize in?
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness techniques like Yoga / Trauma Informed Yoga, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction and in clinical supervision.

What type of payments do you accept?
Currently, I accept payments via Alma, Headway, SpringHealth, IntakeQ (accepts most credits cards, debit cards, FSA/HSA cards), Zelle, and VENMO. Payments accepted prior to each service.

I carry my own professional malpractice insurance.
Do you take insurance?
As of 8/1/23: Accepting all Aetna (includes Meridian, Nippon, Allied Benefit Systems, GEHA, Trustmark, Health Scope & Christian Brothers Services) , Optum (includes United Healthcare, Oscar, Harvard Pilgrim, Oxford, UMR, All Savers, Health Plans Inc, & Surest), and Cigna Plans for all California and Texas Residents. I accept certain Blue Shield of CA PPO plans and Federal Plans.
*I am an out of network provider with other insurances. Please check with your insurance for possible reimbursement. If requested -I can provide a super bill at the end of the month for your records or for your insurance needs. I have also partnered with Mentaya which can help folx that have PPO Out of network benefits. Please ask.
What is your cancellation policy?
If an appointment is not canceled or rescheduled with at least 48 hour notice you will be charged a no show/late cancelation fee ($50).
How do I know if I have out of network (OON) benefits?
Typically, most PPO insurances would have OON benefits. As an out-of-network provider to some PPO plans, I have partnered with Mentaya to help my clients save money on therapy. Use the link below to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.

What ages do you provide services too?
